Khabib Nurmagomedov is all set to return to action to fight Justin Gaethje on October 24, 2020 as per Dana White. The UFC president confirmed the news to CNN during an interview and noted that the location is yet to be determined for the showdown.

There were talks of a potential fight between Khabib and Justin ever since Justin got the win over Tony Ferguson and won the Interim Lightweight title. However, the talks came to a standstill after the death of Khabib’s father and trainer Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

A respected coach in the Martial Arts circuit, Abdulmanap passed away earlier this month due to health complications that stemmed from COVID-10 infection. Dana White noted that it was a tough time for Khabib to overcome while confirming that the fight will happen.

The reigning UFC Lightweight champion was initially scheduled to fight Tony Ferguson earlier this year but the fight had to be cancelled due to the travel restrictions that came to existence due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As for Gaethje, he is currently on a four-fight winning streak having defeated the likes of Tony Ferguson, Donald Cerrone, Edson Barboza and James Vick in his last four fights.

Who do you think will come out victorious in this fight? Let us know in the comments.
