Khabib Nurmagomedov wants to fight Georges St. Pierre in April next year

UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has noted that he wants to fight former UFC champion Georges St. Pierre in April next year. Khabib commented the same on an Instagram post that was made by Joe Rogan.

Khabib noted in the comment that after his fight with Interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje in October, he wants to fight GSP in April.

Currently holding a professional record of 28-0 to his name, Khabib last fought in September 2019 when he defeated Dustin Poirier at UFC 242. He was booked for a fight with Tony Ferguson afterwards, but the fight had to be called off due to COVID-19 travel restrictions.

Georges St. Pierre, on the other hand, is 26-2 in his career with his last fight coming against Michael Bisping back in 2017 at UFC 217. It was the first fight of GSP after a gap of four years and in the fight; he defeated Bisping to become the UFC Middleweight champion as well.

Earlier, Khabib had revealed that him fighting GSP was a dream of his father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov who recently passed away due to health complications which rose from COVID-19. GSP has also given some hints about his interest in fighting Khabib noting that the fight with Khabib will be something good for his legacy.
