Stephen Loman is all set to make his entry into the ONE Championship Bantamweight division. A former World Champion from the ranks of Team Lakay, Loman will be squaring off against #3 ranked Yusup Saadulaev in his promotional debut and he could put his name in the title mix if he wins the fight.
The Bantamweight division is currently ruled by Bibiano Fernandes with John Lineker and Kevin Belingon lurking around the corner being ranked first and second in the division respectively.

While a win against Saadulaev would put Loman in the title mix, it also means that he might have to cross paths with either John Linekar or his teammate and former champion Belingon.
When asked about the possibility of fighting his Team Lakay teammate in his recent interview with ONE Championship, Loman ruled out the same.
“No chance. No chance at all. We’re training partners. We’re brothers in arms during training. I wouldn’t want to face him in the Circle. Let’s just leave the scrap during sparring,” Loman said.
He also asserted that he is not looking beyond his fight with Saadulaev but added that he will take the title fight if he gets it.
“I’m not looking past this fight. I have to focus on it first. My first goal is to win this bout and get myself into the rankings. To answer that though, if they give me a World Title shot after this, why not? I’ll grab the opportunity,” Loman said.
