Kantharaj Agasa signed with ONE Championship a few months back and now, he is looking forward to making his promotional debut. He is back with his Indian Combat Sports Academy (ICSA) team in Bangalore after fully recovering from shoulder surgery and wants to be active in 2021.

‘I hope to be active and have four fights in ONE Championship this year and soon, I want to fight the top five contenders in my weight division,’ Kantharaj revealed in an exclusive statement.

The Kannadiga currently holds a professional record of 11-2 and is coming off a dominant victory against Nawras Abzakh. Upon signing with ONE Championship, Kantharaj had revealed that he wants to the ONE Flyweight World Champion.

“My goal is to become the ONE Flyweight World Champion. I want to prove that an athlete from a small town with limited facilities can do great things with hard work,” he said during his interview with ONE Championship.

He had also revealed that he would love to fight Demetrious Johnson at some point.

“I want to fight Demetrious Johnson. I want to compete against him and test my skills against him so that I know the difference between us. Winning against him would be like a dream come true. Even if I were to lose, it would be a valuable experience, which is so important for any young athlete,” he replied when asked about his dream fight.
