Newly crowned UFC Bantamweight champion Julianna Pena would love the prospect of pulling former UFC Champion and WWE superstar Ronda Rousey out of retirement.
In her recent interview with The New York Post, Pena noted that it is something that excites her.
“It would be amazing to pull Ronda Rousey back out of retirement. It would be great to have her come back to UFC and fight again,” she said.
Pena further went on to add that she did not have the best time around Rousey when the latter was in the UFC.

“We’re not friends. We don’t speak. She really had a tough time getting along with me on The Ultimate Fighter. She didn’t like me at all because I was friends with Miesha Tate. She wasn’t the nicest. I don’t know that she’ll recall this because she ended up getting taken out by her entire team. But when we won ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ and got out of the house, she told me, ‘You’re gonna give me a tougher fight than Miesha Tate Tate, but when that day comes I’m still gonna kick your ass. ‘” Pena added.
Rousey last fought in the UFC back in 2016 when she suffered a TKO loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207. Prior to that, she had suffered a loss to Holly Holm as well in 2015 which was the first loss in her professional MMA career.
She then went on to switch to professional wrestling after the fight with Nunes with her MMA record currently at 13-2.
