We are ready for whoever is next, says ONE Strawweight champion Joshua Pacio

Joshua Pacio is looking forward to having a strong 2022. The Filipino MMA star secured a huge win against Yosuke Saruta in 2021 and managed to keep the ONE Strawweight title around his waist as a result.

As the ONE Championship strawweight division is stacked from top to bottom, Pacio has to keep his eyes open for the next challenge and he is doing just that.

"All of them are dangerous. Since I’m on the top of the food chain, I know all those guys you mentioned are working hard to beat me, but I’ve also kept an eye on them," Pacio said (h/t Spin.ph).

One of the most interesting names to watch out for in the division would be promotional newcomer Jarred Brooks. A former UFC Fighter, Brooks made an impressive debut in ONE Championship recently by outclassing Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang.

Brooks has made it clear that he is coming for Pacio and has a fight scheduled with Hiroba Minowa in January 2022 which might serve as the title eliminator in the division.  Pacio might not know what is next for him in the division but he says that he is ready for whoever is next.

"We’ve been reviewing their styles, we’ve been watching them, and all I can say is we’re ready for whoever is next,” Pacio added.
