Is Jarred Brooks ready to fight Joshua Pacio? Lito Adiwang gives his take

Joshua Pacio has been reigning on top of the ONE Championship Strawweight division for a long time now. Many have tried and failed to dethrone the Team Lakay star and now, a new name has entered the division: Jarred Brooks.

Brooks made an impressive promotional debut at ONE: NEXT GEN III when he stopped Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang. Having spent time with Brooks inside the ONE Circle, Lito has a  clear idea on what Brooks bring to the table and in his recent interview with ONE Championship, Lito opened up about the same.

When asked about whether Brooks is ready to fight Pacio for the title, Lito said that it might be too early for the former UFC Fighter.

“For Jarred, I think it’s too early. I think he needs to prove himself more by winning a few more fights. I wouldn’t want to say that he still has a lot to prove, but maybe he needs to gain more fans and recognition here in Asia,” Lito said.

He further went on to add that Bokang is a name that deserves to get a title shot at his Team Lakay teammate.

'“I believe one guy who deserves to be Joshua’s challenger is Bokang [Masunyane] because he has a perfect record, he’s won two big fights in ONE already, and I think he’s ready for it,” Adiwang said.
