Jarred Brooks is set to fight against Bokang later this month at ONE: Reloaded with a shot at the ONE Strawweight champion Joshua Pacio on the line.
Brooks has so far secured two wins in ONE Championship so far with his first one coming against Pacio’s teammate Lito Adiwang when his second win came against Hiroba Minowa. The former UFC star will be looking to make it three in a row when he fights Bokang next and the match also gives him an opportunity to grab the much-awaited matchup with Pacio.
Speaking to ONE Championship recently, Brooks noted that he is the best in the division at the moment and he will be proving the same against Bokang.
“I think that I’m the best in the division, no matter what. I mean, you got to go out and prove things. But inside of my head and the way I see fight night [against Masunyane], I do see my hand getting raised in a spectacular fashion,” he said.
Bokang comes into the fight against Brooks with an undefeated record to his name and will be looking to get himself a title shot as well by defeating Brooks.
Earlier, The American had said that he is open to a ONE vs. UFC matchup with UFC Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo who has some history with Brooks. The two had fought a few years back with Figueiredo taking home a controversial split decision win.
