IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships 2019: Here are the athletes from India

The IMMAF-WMMAA joint body has released the list of athletes and nations competing at the upcoming IMMAF-WMMAA Senior World Championships 2019. The event will be held in Bahrain from 10th to 16th November at the Khalifa Sports City in Isa Town.

The matches will take place under the United Amateur Rules and this time around, eight Indian athletes have completed registration for the Senior Competition.

Surbala Devi and Jishal Parmar will be the female representation at the event for India while the likes of Mahboob Khan, Dinesh Naorem, Karan Chauhan, Athul Hotker, Balakrishna Patange and Vaibhav Shetty will be representing the nation as well in their respective weight classes.

  • Surbala Devi Laishram – Women’s Atomweight 47.6 kg (105 lbs)
  • Mahboob Khan Mohammed – Men’s Strawweight 52.2 kg (115 lbs)
  • Dinesh Naorem – Men’s Flyweight 56.7 kg (125 lbs)
  • Jishal Parmar – Women’s Bantamweight 61.2 kg (135 lbs)
  • Karan Nitin Chauhan – Men’s Featherweight 65.8 kg (145 lbs)
  • Athul D Hotker – Men’s Lightweight 70.3 kg (155 lbs)
  • Balakrishna Satyaprasad Patange – Men’s Welterweight 77.1 kg (170 lbs)
  • Vaibhav Vaman Shetty – Men’s Middleweight 83.9 kg (185 lbs)
