GAMMA India announces 2020 Asian Championship selection Event

GAMMA India has officially announced the event for selecting Team India for the 2020 GAMMA Asian Championship which is scheduled to happen in June 2020.

The selection tournament will take place at the ARC Sportzone in Mysore and will be held from March 20 to March 22. The registration for the event will happen on March 20 from 3:00 PM IST to 8:00 IST while the fights will start at 11:00 AM IST on 21 and 22 March. The weigh-ins will happen on the fight day at 07:00 AM IST.

Fighters can register directly or through their gyms by contacting the Zonal Heads of their respective zone. The details of the zones, the states that come under the respective zones, along with the contact details can be found at the post below.

Earlier, GAMMA India had revealed the Zonal heads with multiple-time Wushu Champion, former ONE championship and SFL Fighter Rajinder Singh Meena heading the North Zone while his fellow fighter Ratnadiptee Shimpi was chosen as the West-Zone head.

Isaiah Kharmawphlang, a known name in the North Eastern MMA Circle, was selected as the East Zone Head.  Vignesh Nathan and Rupesh Math, both established coaches, were selected as South Zone heads.
