Indian boxing stars Lalrinsanga Tlau and Faizan Anwar remained undefeated by picking up wins in Dubai this past weekend. Both the boxers were in action at the event promoted by Cuban Boxing Promotions.
Faizan Anwar came into the event with a record of 8-0 to his name and managed to outclass Octavian Gratii via a decision to improve his record to 9-0. He is currently the top pound-for-pound boxer in India as per BoxRec and will apparently make a quick turnaround and fight in November.
Prior to this win, Faizan had defeated an experienced Ricky Sismundo of the Philippines who also happens to be the training partner of the legendary Manny Pacquiao. Before the fight, Lalrinsanga had noted on his social media pages that he is moving to Dubai to further his boxing career and is expected to make a quick return. In preparation for the fight, he was also seen training with multiple-time world champion Guillermo Rigondeaux.
The event which happened in Conrad, Dubai was streamed live in India as pay-per-view through BookMyShow and Zonet.
