Indian boxers Faizan Anwar and Lalrinsanga Tlau to fight in Dubai on October 23
18 October 2021Top-ranked Indian boxer Faizan Anwar and reigning WBC World Youth Champion Lalrinsanga Tlau are set to fight in Dubai on 23 October 2021.
The Indian boxing stars will be competing in the People’s Fighters event promoted by Cuban Boxing Promotions. Lalrinsanga, who is also known as Sangtea, will be going up against Beruashvili when Faizan Anwar will be fighting Octavian Gratii from Romania.
Faizan Anwar and Lalrinsanga Tlau to have undefeated streaks on the line
Both Faizan and Lalrinsanga are undefeated at the moment. Faizan holds a professional record of 8-0 to his name with four of those eight wins coming via knockouts. Hailing from Kolkata, Faizan is also the top pound-for-pound boxer in India as per BoxRec.
His last win came against an experienced Ricky Sismundo in Dubai back in August 2021. Gratii is 7-19 in his professional career and is riding on a five-fight losing streak which he will be looking to break when he fights the Indian boxer.
Lalrinsanga meanwhile, hails from Mizoram and holds a professional record of 5-0 to his name. In his last fight, he went up against Eric Quarm for the WBC World Youth Title and made history by winning the fight. He recently announced that he is moving to Dubai to take his career further. Sangtea made his professional debut back in 2019 and has been a force to reckon with ever since.

The event will happen at Conrad Hotel in Dubai and will have Cuban Boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux as the special guest.
