Former Middleweight title challenger Chad Hanekeom is back. The South-African star will look to bounce back from the loss against the champion Daniel “Gaúcho” Pereira and get himself again in the championship picture. His opponent will be Enrico Cortese in a featured bout of the upcoming BRAVE CF 36 card, to be held in Romania.
One of the rising stars from South Africa, where fights out of Coach Quan University, Chad Hanekom holds a professional record of six wins and only one loss. “Superman” had his two-win streak stopped last December, when he ended up defeated by Daniel Gaúcho in BRAVE CF’s inaugural Middleweight world title bout.
Enrico “The Killing Machine” Cortese also boasts a 6-2 professional record. The 22-year-old Italian is currently on a 5-win streak, including his successful BRAVE Combat Federation debut in November, 2019, when he beat Jorick Montagnac via unanimous decision.
BRAVE 36 will take place on April 13, in Romania, marking the second visit of the fastest-growing MMA promotion in the world to the Eastern-European country. The card, promoted in partnership with local MMA powerhouse RFX, will be headlined by the Lightweight bout between England’s Sam Patterson and New Zealand’s John Brewin.
