Aung La N Sang is planning to make his return to the ONE Championship cage in early 2021. He revealed the same during his recent interview with LowKickMMA and noted that he wants to take the title back.
“I’m going to take my belt back, and then I’m going to defend my light heavyweight belt, but if I have to knock out some contenders, line them up.” Aung La noted during the interview.
The Burmese Python suffered a defeat against Reinier De Ridder at ONE: Inside the Matrix a couple of months back which snapped his seven-fight winning streak in ONE Championship. Aung La N Sang noted that the defeat is a chance for him to regroup and work on his plans.
He also said that not having the Middleweight title around his waist is motivating him.
“As painful as it is to lose, it is actually kind of fun to analyze to kind of regroup and then to put yourself into the next level. It’s different now. I’m not the champion in the middleweight now, it kind of pisses me off, but at the same time, it’s motivating.”
Hands down one of the biggest sporting figures from Myanmar, Aung La N Sang is currently 26-11 in his professional MMA career and trains out of Sanford MMA in the United States.
He will be looking to bounce back strongly in 2021 following the defeat to Reinier De Ridder and has made his intentions clear as well during the interview.
