MFN 17: Chungreng Koren vs Rabindra Dhant Set for Main Event on August 2

Matrix Fight Night 17 (MFN 17) is set to take place on August 2, 2025, at the Shaheed Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex Indoor Stadium in Greater Noida. The event will feature a high-stakes bantamweight title clash between India’s Chungreng Koren and Nepal’s Rabindra Dhant, headlining a stacked card that includes international matchups and title fights.

Chungreng Koren vs Rabindra Dhant will serve as the main event of MFN 17, with both fighters looking to claim bantamweight gold. In the co-main event, India’s Sonam Zomba will face Anna Safeeva in a strawweight title fight that could shape the division’s future.

The featherweight contest between Abdul Azim Badakhshi and Mert Özyildirim has undergone a last-minute change. Özyildirim has been ruled out, and stepping in is Nadyr Aliev, a dangerous replacement from Dagestan. The bout remains scheduled for August 2 and is expected to deliver fireworks.

MFN 17 will also feature top Indian fighters such as Angad Bisht, Sandeep Dahiya, Aminder Bisht, and Abdul Fazeel, squaring off against elite talent from countries like Russia, Tajikistan, Germany, and Australia.
