WATCH: ONE Championship MMA Fight of the Year 2021: Arslanaliev vs Nastyukhin II

ONE Championship witnessed a string of exciting MMA fights in the year 2021 but one fight that stood out was the showdown between Dagi Arslanaliev and Timofey Nastyukhin.

The rematch between the two was selected as the 2021 MMA Fight of the Year by ONE Championship this past week. Arslanaliev and Nastyukhin locked horns at ONE: Winter Warriors on December 3, 2021, after their first matchup which happened back in 2018. You can watch the complete fight between the two below.

Arslanaliev came out on top in the 2018 fight via a first-round knockout and the stakes were high for the rematch which happened three years later. Both the fighters gave it their all in the rematch which went till the third round before Arslanaliev secured yet another stoppage win.

With the win, Arslanaliev improved his professional MMA record to 9-2. The Russian has only lost once in his last six fights with the lone loss coming against former ONE Lightweight Champion Christian Lee.

Nastyukhin, on the other hand, slipped to a two-fight losing streak as a result of the stoppage defeat with his last defeat coming up against Christian Lee as well. However, Nastyukhin has already made his mark on ONE Championship having secured wins over Amir Khan, Eddie Alvarez, and Pieter Buist.
