Angela Lee proved this last week why she is truly “Unstoppable.” On 26 March, the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Champion stepped back into the ring after nearly three years away to compete in the main event of the ONE X: Grand Finale.

Many doubted if she would be the same Lee that fans knew and loved, but they were in for a surprise as she exited the Circle victorious for the 13th time.

Lee faced none other than Stamp Fairtex, a Thai star on the rise who became ONE Championship’s first-ever two-sport world champion in 2018. The beloved Stamp was on the hunt for her third championship, this time in MMA, after previously conquering the atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai divisions.

Stamp recently defeated Ritu Phogat by armbar in the second round of their bout this past December to become the ONE Women’s Atomweight World Grand Prix Champion, and there was talk of her jiu-jitsu skills being able to withstand Lee’s experience.

However, “Unstoppable” proved that was not the case.

Stamp hurt Lee with a body shot in the first round, and it appeared as if the fight would be over quickly. But Lee closed the distance between the two to give herself some time to recover, and then she worked to get Stamp down to the ground as she hunted for a submission.

Stamp, the 2021 ONE MMA Female Fighter of the Year, appeared as if she narrowly escaped the first round after Lee applied the pressure. She was not so lucky in the second, as Lee once again was able to quickly close the distance and take her down to the ground once more.

The 24-year-old fan favorite fought off “Unstoppable” for the most part, despite Lee’s incessant transitions as she sought any possible submission, including her infamous “Twister” move. But, with only seconds left in the second round, Lee secured the rear-naked choke, forcing her opponent to tap as she was finally left without options.

Lee’s performance earned her a US$50,000 performance bonus and proved that, despite having to spend time outside of the Circle, there’s no one who could take her place.

Stay tuned for more upcoming action, as ONE: RELOADED will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium later this month on 22 April
