The third day of the 6th Bengaluru Open MMA Championship is in the books. The third day of the event saw fights till the quarter-final categories across all the weight categories and had its fair share of exciting moments.

The action kickstarted with the strawweight category pre-quarters on the third day and proceeded further with action from flyweight, bantamweight, featherweight, lightweight, welterweight, and middleweight categories. The session from the event after the lunch break played host to the quarter-final bouts in the respective weight categories as well.

The day closed with an exciting welterweight contest but one of the most standout moments from the day proved to be the fight between the 45-year-old Ashwin Naidu and19-year-old Uday Pratap Singh in the Middleweight category.

Both the fighters were appreciated by MMA India President Sharif Bapu after the match which went the complete distance and managed to rile up the audience that was in attendance at the Forum Neighbourhood Mall in Whitefield.

There were some huge cheers for the homegrown talent from Karnataka as well as they delivered some interesting bouts when provided the opportunity. The day had some stoppages as well although a good portion of the fight went the complete distance owing to the increased level of competition as the rounds progressed.

Athletes who secured themselves places in the semi-finals will now compete on the fourth and last day for the medal and the day will also play host to Youth and female category bouts as well. You can watch the live stream replay from Day 3 of the 6th Bengaluru Open MMA Championship below.
