Yuki Yoza Vows To Deliver Statement Victory Over Pound-For-Pound Great Superlek

Japanese kickboxing sensation Yuki Yoza will have the perfect opportunity to announce himself among the sport's elite when he faces ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek Kiatmoo9 at ONE 173 on 16 November in Tokyo, Japan.

The 27-year-old former K-1 Champion enters this bantamweight kickboxing showdown with supreme confidence, boasting a flawless 2-0 ONE record and an overall 20-2 career mark.

His victories over Elbrus Osmanov and Petchtanong Petchfergus have positioned him perfectly for this career-defining moment.

"This is a fight where the world will remember the name Yuki Yoza. I'm fired up and ready to prove I'm the best in the world," the Japanese striker declared.

Yoza trains alongside elite company at his gym, working daily with megastar Takeru Segawa and ONE Interim Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Masaaki Noiri. This high-level sparring has prepared him for exactly this type of elite opposition.

The Japanese fighter sees this matchup as more than just personal glory.

"I see him as one of ONE's pound-for-pound best. I'm ready to test my kicks against his. This is payback for Japanese striking fighters. I'm here to prove that I'm the strongest in the world," Yoza stated.

Standing in his way is 29-year-old Superlek. The Thai pound-for-pound striking great knows he must deliver after suffering a setback against Nabil Anane, though his previous conquest of Takeru in Japan proves he can perform on enemy territory.

"My comeback will be something else. I won't repeat the same mistake. This fight is very important. I'm coming back to the Circle this time, and I need to do better," Superlek emphasized.

The Thai champion isn't backing down from what promises to be an explosive kicking battle.

"I'm not intimidated by this fight, even if it turns out to be a kicking war. I'm already working on my tactics for this fight. Yuki is a strong fighter," he acknowledged.
