We could be on our way to see more crossovers between WWE and the UFC. This is as per WWE CEO Nick Khan.

“You saw Brock Lesnar go from WWE to UFC, where he become its heavyweight champion, then come back to WWE. You saw Ronda Rousey and her amazing run with the UFC come over to WWE. Daniel Cormier was a special guest referee for us in our October premium live event this past year. Opportunities like that will continue,” WWE CEO Nick Khan noted in an interview with Outkick.

WWE is set to merge with UFC to form a new publicly traded company which will be under Endeavor Group which is currently the parent company of the UFC.

Earlier, a long list of UFC fighters and WWE superstars have crossed over. Brock Lesnar, who built a name for himself in the WWE went on to become the UFC Heavyweight champion before going back to WWE again.

Ronda Rousey, on the other hand, was the UFC Bantamweight champion before she embarked on a journey in the professional wrestling world. CM Punk had a similar story as he tried out his hand in the UFC after a run in the WWE.

Speaking further, Nick Khan said that the companies will be operating separately despite the merger,

“That said, both businesses are going to be run separately. Dana White will, of course, continue to run the UFC. We have deep relationships with the guys over there, from Dana to Craig Borsari to Lawrence Epstein. We will be looking to collaborate with them when appropriate. Right now, we want to focus on getting WWE integrated and situated with the company,” he said.
