Ketlen Souza delivered a stunning first-round finish at UFC 306, defeating Yazmin Jauregui with a technical submission via rear-naked choke at the 3:02 mark of Round 1 on Saturday at Sphere.
Souza (15-4 MMA, 2-1 UFC) rocked Jauregui (11-2 MMA, 3-2 UFC) with a powerful left hook that dropped the Mexican fighter. Wasting no time, Souza jumped on Jauregui’s back and locked in the rear-naked choke, putting her opponent to sleep in a dramatic fashion.
This win marks Souza’s second consecutive victory after losing her UFC debut. She previously defeated Marnic Mann and now secured a major upset over the highly-touted Jauregui, solidifying her rise in the UFC.
