UFC Vegas 69 Full Fight Card, Preview and India Time

UFC returns with UFC Vegas 69 this weekend. The top-ranked Erin Blanchfield and No. 10 Jessica Andrade square off in the main event of the women's flyweight division. A light heavyweight fight between Jordan Wright and Zac Pauga is included in the co-main event.

Erin Blanchfield vs. Jessica Andrade Preview

In this intriguing five-round main event, former title challenger and strawweight champion Jessica Andrade steps in to face fight against rising contender Erin Blanchfield.

After defeating Lauren Murphy last month at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro, Andrade steps in for her countrywoman Taila Santos, who is entering the Octagon for the second time already this year. Andrade is a well-known fighter in two weight classes who brings more power and intensity to the ring than most flyweight opponents. This weekend, he will attempt to get his fourth straight victory and second in 2023.

In her first two years on the UFC roster, Blanchfield has recorded two victories, building on a strong debut season with a pair of triumphs in her sophomore campaign. The 23-year-old "Cold Blooded" defeated Molly McCann at Madison Square Garden in November, forcing the acclaimed British fighter to submit to a kimura midway through the opening round. In June, the 23-year-old "Cold Blooded" submitted veteran JJ Aldrich with an opportunistic guillotine choke.

The winner of this weekend's main event may or may not be the next contender for the flyweight championship, depending on how quickly Manon Fiorot recovers from the surgery she underwent after winning at UFC 280 in October. The champion Valentina Shevchenko is scheduled to defend her title early next month. Both women's chances of facing Shevchenko would be strengthened by a convincing victory, which would also help to clarify the standings in the 125-pound weight division.
