On Sunday, November 6, UFC FIGHT NIGHT: RODRIGUEZ VS LEMOS, also known as UFC Vegas 64, was broadcast live in Asia at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. From the opening match to the final match, the card was jam-packed with submissions and knockouts.

Amanda Lemos stops Marina Rodriguez

In their five-round main event, strawweight contenders #3 Marina Rodriguez and #7 Amanda Lemos competed respectfully of one another's strength. Lemos turned up the heat in the second round with a trip and back control on the ground. In the third round, Lemos earned the crashing finish with an overhand right that knocked Rodriguez to the ground and necessitated a referee finish. Lemos stated:

"We started studying each other, but we worked on that punch so hard, we needed it, this was the strategy. When I hit her, I saw her legs wobbling a little bit. I didn't think twice, I had to finish her right there. Hey Dana, I'm here already. Put me as the backup for the title fight in New York."

Neil Magny gets record breaking win

When he stopped perennial welterweight contender #14 Daniel Rodriguez, #13 Neil Magny set a record for the most victories in the UFC welterweight division. Rodriguez had the upper hand with his potent punching in the second, but Magny moved ahead with his wrestling in the third and won with a D'arce choke.

"It feels amazing, all the hard work is definitely paying off. It's been a long journey to get here, but I'm just getting started. I know Dan's a good fighter, but my goal is to be UFC champion, and he was just a guy in my way to get there,” Magny noted.

Other fights on the card

Shayilan knocked out Darrick Minner in the first round with a barrage of punches for his 39th MMA victory and first UFC victory. Minner gave Shayilan a powerful kick early on, but he only hurt himself because it hurt his leg. Shayilan pursued him to the floor, where Minner was left with little choice but to take cover before the referee called it off.

In little over two minutes, Tagir Ulanbekov finished Nate Maness off on the ground after starting the guillotine from his feet.

After berating Benito Lopez inside the Octagon, Mario Bautista successfully submitted him with an armbar for his second consecutive victory. Grant Dawson knocked Mark O. Madsen to the ground with a blow, then kicked out his knees before submitting him in the third round to end the fight. Midway through the second round, Jake Hadley submitted Carlos Candelario after putting on a solid effort.

Jinh Yu Frey was swiftly dispatched by Polyana Viana in just 47 seconds to win by TKO. In her professional debut, Tamires Vidal defeated Ramona Pascual via walk-off after opening the card with a flying knee to the liver.
