UFC returns with UFC Vegas 64 this weekend. With an interesting strawweight matchup between No. 3 ranked contender Marina Rodriguez and No. 7 ranked Amanda Lemos, the UFC continues its run of events at UFC APEX. Top 15 welterweights will compete in the co-main event as No. 13 contender Neil Magny and No. 14 Daniel Rodriguez square off.
Surging With yet another strong performance, Marina Rodriguez (16-1-2, competing out of Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil) hopes to stake her claim for a title chance. She now has a five-fight winning streak and victories over Amanda Ribas, Mackenzie Dern, and Yan Xiaonan. Rodriguez will now attempt to defeat Lemos and maintain her position as the top strawweight.
Lemos, a talented finisher (12-2-1, fighting out of Pará, Brazil), intends to impress in her second chance to compete in a UFC main event. She has won six of her previous seven matches, including notable victories over Michelle Waterson, Angela Hill, and Montserrat Conejo. Lemos currently hopes to beat Marina Rodriguez decisively in order to move into the Top 5 at strawweight.
Magny (26-10, fighting out of Denver, Colorado) is a seasoned fighter who aspires to shatter the UFC record for most welterweight victories. He is currently tied for the all-time record of 19 wins with Georges St-Pierre, and his victories over Robbie Lawler, Carlos Condit, and Johny Hendricks are noteworthy. Magny now wants to stop Rodriguez's upward trend and show that, even at 170 pounds, he is still among the best.
Daniel Rodriguez, a rising star (17-2, fighting out of Alhambra, California), wants to maintain his momentum by earning his biggest victory to yet. He is now on a four-fight winning streak during which he has earned noteworthy triumphs against Li Jingliang, Kevin Lee, and Mike Perry. To advance in the welterweight rankings, Rodriguez now wants to defeat Magny.
UFC Vegas 64 Undercard
UFC FIGHT NIGHT: RODRIGUEZ vs. LEMOS or UFC Vegas 64 will take place Saturday, November 5 at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. The entire card will be available on ESPN+ in English and Spanish, with the main card starting at 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT and the prelims at 4 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT.
UFC Vegas 64 will be live in India on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at 4:30 AM Indian Standard Time (IST) on SONY TEN 2 and SONY TEN 3 channels.
