UFC Charlotte is just around the corner. For the first time since 2018, the UFC returns to Charlotte, North Carolina with an all-action main event duelling heavyweight finishers, with No. 9 ranked contender Jairzinho Rozenstruik aiming for another memorable KO against surging No. 12 contender Jailton Almeida. Also on the card, No. 5 ranked light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith takes on No. 7 Johnny Walker in a fight that promises to be explosive.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Jailton Almeida Preview

Rozenstruik, a heavyweight knockout artist (13-4, competing out of Paramaribo, Suriname), wants to leave a lasting impression in his 2023 debut. He owns decisive victories against former UFC heavyweight champions Junior Dos Santos, Andrei Arlovski, and Alistair Overeem. The former professional kickboxer has 12 of his 13 MMA wins by way of KO. Rozenstruik is currently attempting to block Almeida's ascent in the rankings and make a run for the championship.

Many people think that Almeida (18-2, competing out of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) is one of the top prospects in the UFC right now. Almeida, a freak athlete who has never had a victory go to the judges, stormed into the scene with convincing victories against Shamil Abdurakhimov, Parker Porter, and Danilo Marques. In the most significant fight of his MMA career, he now aims to keep his perfect UFC record.

Anthony Smith vs. Johnny Walker

Smith, a fan favourite (36-17, fighting out of Omaha, Nebraska), is back in the Octagon and aiming for another memorable victory. With stops of Rashad Evans, Devin Clark, Mauricio Rua, and Alexander Gustafsson, Smith has established himself as one of the most entertaining athletes on the UFC roster. His outstanding finishing rate is 94 percent. He now seeks to eliminate Walker in order to further his impressive résumé.

With another explosive performance, Walker (20-7, fighting out of Dublin, Ireland via Rio das Ostras, Brazil) hopes to build on his recent success. Walker maintains his own exceptional finishing rate of 95%, which includes an amazing 17 first-round finishes, with 16 KOs and three submissions to his credit. He is now focused on winning the Octagon again quickly and moving beyond Smith in the standings.
