Former UFC interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson will make his return to combat sports in the boxing ring, joining the Misfits Boxing roster for Misfits 22 on Aug. 30 at AO Arena in Manchester.
Ferguson, who departed the UFC earlier this year, will face Salt Papi in a featured bout as part of a double main event. Also headlining the card is Darren Till, who is set for his third ring appearance of 2025 as he squares off against former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold, who will be making his boxing debut.
Till previously defeated Anthony Taylor and Darren Stewart in Misfits outings earlier this year. Rockhold and Ferguson have both previously been linked to potential bouts with Misfits founder KSI, and this event is seen as a major opportunity for both fighters to establish themselves as stars in the crossover boxing scene.
Misfits 22 will stream live via DAZN Pay-Per-View, marking Till’s first PPV headliner since signing with the promotion. His previous two fights aired on the subscription-based service.
The event is expected to draw global attention as MMA veterans continue to make the leap into the influencer-driven boxing space.
