Lumpinee Stadium hosted a masterclass in martial arts on 15 May as ONE Fight Night 43 broadcast live on Amazon Prime Video in U.S. primetime from Bangkok, Thailand. Tang Kai headlined with a fourth-round TKO of Shamil Gasanov to retain the ONE Featherweight MMA World Championship — authoritative, complete, and utterly convincing.
Gasanov brought everything. Near-flawless record. Elite grappling. Submission danger. Tang neutralised all of it — stuffing takedowns in round one, outstriking the Dagestani when he switched to boxing, then dismantling his base with low kicks until one buckled his leg and a finishing barrage ended it at 2:41. Record: 20-3.
Petchtanong Petchfergus reminded the world why elite timing never ages. The former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion controlled every dimension of his clash with Britain's Ben Woolliss, luring him into attacking before detonating a left low kick that buckled the Englishman's legs. Unanimous decision. Record: 360-57.
Diogo "Baby Shark" Reis moved up a weight class and never looked out of place. The ONE Flyweight Submission Grappling World Champion dominated Yuki Takahashi with back control, body triangles, and relentless choke hunting across ten bantamweight minutes, earning a unanimous decision that underlined his all-division supremacy. Record: 95-12.
Aslamjon "El Pantera" Ortikov is 24-0 — and after watching him finish Jordan Estupinan at 2:06 of round two in their flyweight Muay Thai clash, it is easy to see why. Three separate knockdown sequences, each one more devastating than the last, before the referee stepped in to end the Colombian's night.
Fabio "The Giant" Henrique needed a statement. He got one. The Brazilian stopped former ONE Strawweight MMA World Champion Yosuke "The Ninja" Saruta at 39 seconds of round two when Saruta landed awkwardly on his elbow mid-takedown and could not continue — a gritty, well-earned bounce-back win. Record: 15-2.
Lito "Thunder Kid" Adiwang needed 34 seconds. One flush left hook sent Eko Roni Saputra stumbling; ten unanswered punches brought the referee sprinting in. The Filipino announced his bantamweight MMA arrival in devastating fashion before revealing he plans to return to the flyweight division next. Record: 18-6.
