ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon believes his student Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon is on the verge of bantamweight Muay Thai stardom, and the legendary Thai striker has identified the quality that separates his protege from other talented fighters.
Ahead of Rambolek's main event showdown against Russian knockout artist Abdulla Dayakaev at ONE Fight Night 39 on January 24, Superbon revealed what makes the 22-year-old special beyond technical proficiency.
"He's a total grinder. He trains incredibly hard. What really impresses me is his 'warrior spirit'. It's something you can't just teach," Superbon explained.
The bantamweight Muay Thai clash at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, carries significant implications, with the winner potentially earning a title shot against ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.
Rambolek has earned this opportunity through exceptional performances that began with his historic ONE Friday Fights breakthrough in 2023. The Thai striker became the first fighter ever to secure a six-figure contract from the weekly series.
His main roster transition has been seamless, compiling four consecutive victories highlighted by a sensational second-round TKO of Russia's Dmitrii Kovtun in September 2025.
The 35-year-old Superbon, regarded as one of the pound-for-pound best strikers in the world, expects an action-packed encounter when his student meets the Russian powerhouse.
"It's going to be a banger. Abdulla is a dangerous guy with scary-good boxing, his hands are sharp and heavy. This fight definitely has KO potential for both sides. It's going to be thrilling," Superbon said.
While acknowledging Dayakaev's knockout power, Superbon's confidence in Rambolek remains unshaken.
"I'm confident he has World Champion potential. If he puts on a dominant performance in this fight, he's ready to challenge Nabil Anane for the title. My goal is to push him all the way to that belt within this year," Superbon stated emphatically.
The main event collision at ONE Fight Night 39 between two knockout artists on four-fight winning streaks promises the explosive action Superbon predicted, with title implications hanging in the balance and a legendary coach's reputation for identifying talent on the line.
