Superbon Praises Noiri's Toughness, Eyes Future Clash With Grigorian

Superbon emerged victorious in a brutal five-round war, unifying the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Championship with a unanimous decision over Masaaki Noiri at ONE 173 on November 16.

The Thai striking legend extended his career record to 117-37 after surviving a relentless challenge from the Japanese interim champion in Tokyo, Japan.

At the post-event press conference, Superbon expressed genuine respect for Noiri's durability throughout their 15-minute battle.

"I'm not surprised. He looked very tough and he's really tough in the ring. He had it big for me. He took a lot of damage from me and he was still standing there, he never backed [down]," Superbon said.

The unification clash delivered on its promise of fireworks as both fighters traded signature techniques without hesitation.

Superbon connected with thunderous shots, while the 32-year-old Noiri answered with his own dangerous strikes and kicks in front of his home crowd.

Despite absorbing punishment throughout the contest, neither fighter showed any willingness to retreat, creating the all-out war fans had anticipated.

The undisputed king revealed his enjoyment of the competitive atmosphere and the electric energy from the Japanese fans.

"I enjoyed the fight, and it was really fun to fight with him. And I love Japanese fans. All the fans supported him, supported me, cheered for him, cheered for me. I love Japanese fans. Thank you so much,” Superbon said.

A potential next challenger quickly emerged during the press conference when Marat Grigorian, fresh off his victory over Rukiya Anpo, announced his desire to face Superbon in Japan.

The Thai showed no hesitation in accepting the challenge from the former three-time Glory Kickboxing World Champion.

"For me, Marat is one of the best opponents for me, and it's always fun to fight Marat. I'd love to fight with him anytime, anywhere. I won’t run away from him," Superbon said.
