Valentina Shevchenko is prepared to resume action after a lengthy hiatus. Surprisingly, she hasn't considered Amanda Nunes or Taila Santos as viable opponents.
With nine victories in a row at women's flyweight, "Bullet" has established herself as a dominant force in the division. There aren't many legitimate potential title challengers that the Kyrgyzstani hasn't defeated, having defeated the division's who's who.
In a conversation with The Schmo about what comes next, Valentina Shevchenko underlined that Taila Santos must establish her worth. Manon Fiorot, she continued, is the fight that interests her the most.
"When you have that many options, it feels good... I was thinking about Manon Fiorot, first... Either fight will work for me [but] I think Taila has to prove herself that she deserves this title [shot] again, because she recently started to speak too much... You have to show [a] beautiful fight and that you deserve [the chance], but for now I don't see that in her, that's why she has to work... Speaking about Amanda, definitely, this fight is gonna happen and I think it's gonna happen sometime soon,” Shevchenko said in the interview.

After challenging the 125-pound queen to a razor-thin split decision in their previous encounter, Taila Santos believes she merits an immediate rematch.
Prior to her title battle at UFC 275 earlier this year, the 29-year-old was on a four-bout winning streak, but if she wants another chance at the gold, she'll probably need to get back into the winning column.
Shevchenko, meanwhile, also noted that she is open to a fight with Alexa Grasso if Manon Fiorot is not ready for a title fight.
