Heavyweight BRAVE Combat Federation Shamil Gaziev will try to use the inspiration he gained from working out with heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane recently to secure the biggest victory of his professional career.
As the primary attraction of the largest combat sports festival in European history, BRAVE Serbia International Combat Week, Shamil is set to face Darko Stosic in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 69 on February 18 in Belgrade, Serbia.
Bahrain's Gaziev assisted the Frenchman in getting ready for his final match against Australia's Tai Tuivasa and expressed to his head coach Eldar Eldarov that he "finally felt like he belonged" among the top Heavyweight competitors in the world after working out with "Bon Gamin."
“I believe that the moment Shamil (Gaziev) got his confidence was not after his various professional victories and knockouts. It happened when he went to France to do a camp with Ciryl (Gane),” says BRAVE CF Super Lightweight champion Eldar Eldarov. “Shamil sparred with him and worked with him in all aspects. Let's not forget that Ciryl is one of the top two, top three, Heavyweights in the world today. He is very technical, very dangerous. An elite Heavyweight,” adds Eldarov.
When Gaziev returned home, he was over the moon about how he fared against one of the best. “When he returned from France, he said 'Eldar, I believe I can fight on the highest level. I worked with Ciryl Gane. While I know what I need to work more on ... I feel like I am ready for any top Heavyweight in the world.'’’
Gaziev will compete in the co-main event of BRAVE CF 69, which takes place on February 18 in Belgrade, Serbia, against another well-known and elite Heavyweight in the form of Serbia's Darko Stosic. After making a strong debut at BRAVE CF 65, where he was nominated for BRAVE CF KO of The Year, Gaziev, who has gone undefeated since turning professional, hopes to improve to 2-0 in the BRAVE Combat Federation.
In the meantime, Stosic makes his promotional debut and enters the BRAVE CF cage with a lot of excitement surrounding him after competing in numerous well-known promotions. His record is also very remarkable, with 17 victories and just 5 losses.
