Former Bellator president Scott Coker has re-emerged onto the MMA scene with the announcement of a new fight event series titled "Fight Night at the Tech." Since his departure following PFL's acquisition, Coker has kept a low profile, with limited engagement on social media platforms.

The inaugural event of Fight Night at the Tech is scheduled to take place on May 18 at the Tech CU Arena in San Jose, California. While details regarding the broadcast are yet to be disclosed, Coker will take on the role of executive producer for the series, collaborating closely with former Strikeforce lightweight champion Gilbert Melendez, who is deeply involved in the event's production.

While no fight matchups have been confirmed for the event, the promotion has hinted at a blend of seasoned veterans and emerging prospects, promising an exciting lineup for MMA enthusiasts.

Coker's return to the forefront of MMA comes after his tenure as the frontman for Bellator from June 2014 to November 2023, coinciding with PFL's acquisition. However, the circumstances surrounding his departure remain undisclosed.

Prior to his influential role at Bellator, Coker served as the CEO of Strikeforce, a promotion that was acquired by the UFC in 2011. His extensive experience in the MMA industry positions him as a key figure in the development and execution of Fight Night at the Tech, signaling a promising venture for fans and fighters alike.
