ONE Championship double champion Reinier De Ridder is set to fight ONE Interim Heavyweight champion Anatoly Malykhin next. The fight will be for ONE Light Heavyweight title and though De Ridder is defending the title, he is excited by the prospect.

The Dutch fighter has an excellent record when it comes to fighting champions. He secured two wins over Aung La N Sang who was reigning as the Middleweight and Light Heavyweight champion in ONE Championship.

De Ridder then secured a win over ONE Welterweight champion Kiamrian Abbasov as well and now can get the better of another champion.

“I run through champions. Watch me close out the year big!,” De Ridder noted on his Instagram page.

Speaking to SCMP MMA about the fight, De Ridder noted that everything is going well and that another champion is on his list.

“Very good, man. Life is very good. Life here back home is good. Kids are doing well, growing hard. My girl is in school now. My boy is getting big and strong. The businesses are doing well, and I’m in great shape. I’m really seeing progress in all my game. Another great opportunity to face a worthy challenger. Another champ on the hit list. I can’t complain,” De Ridder said.

De Ridder has been undefeated in his professional MMA career so far and has been a force to reckon with. He had been calling for a shot at the ONE Heavyweight title for a long time now but the fight has not materialized yet.

As for Malykhin, he is 3-0 in ONE Championship and has produced three knockouts as well.
