Indian boxing sensation Preeti Pawar displayed her prowess in the ring at the Asian Games in Hangzhou, securing a dominant victory over Jordan's Silina Alhasanat to advance to the women's 54kg quarterfinals. The 19-year-old boxer, who had previously made it to the pre-quarterfinals of the World Championships earlier this year, put on a remarkable performance, winning the bout by RSC (referee stops contest).

In a strategic showdown, Preeti initially adopted a defensive approach, carefully studying her opponent's moves. However, as the bout progressed, she unleashed her attacking game with precision and determination.

After a cautious start, the Indian boxer transitioned into an offensive mode, landing perfect jabs and hooks that earned her clear victories in the opening two rounds. Silina Alhasanat, who initially showed promise, struggled to keep up with Preeti's relentless assault and found herself in a challenging position.

In the second and third rounds, Silina received two standing counts from the referee, highlighting her struggle to cope with Preeti's boxing prowess. Eventually, the referee decided to stop the contest, securing a resounding victory for Preeti Pawar.
