Striking Sensation Sinsamut Eyes Third Title Shot As He Returns

Thai striker Sinsamut Klinmee stepped away from competition for almost a year to welcome a new baby and support his family.

Now, on March 14, the 30-year-old returns to headline ONE Fight Night 41 at Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with his sights set firmly on reclaiming his place among the lightweight Muay Thai elite.

Standing in his way is English striker George Jarvis, a 25-year-old with four ONE victories who most recently challenged reigning king Regian Eersel for his title. The matchup pits two former title challengers against each other in a contest that could decide who gets another crack at Eersel's crown.

Sinsamut is candid about the balancing act that defined his time away from the sport.

"I've been away from the ring for almost a year now because I had another baby. I wanted to be there to help my wife raise our kids. I have to balance training with being a dad. Luckily, my wife helps me out a ton," he said.

That personal chapter is now closed. The competitive one is wide open again, and Sinsamut has returned with the kind of finishing intent that has produced four knockouts from his five promotional victories.

He has challenged Eersel for the lightweight Muay Thai title twice before and knows better than most what it takes to operate at that level. Against Jarvis, he is not interested in a drawn-out tactical battle.

"I'm 100 percent confident my power is superior. If George eats one of my shots, he might not stay standing. I want a knockout in this fight. Either me or him — I want the game to end fast with someone going to sleep," Sinsamut said.

The stakes could not be clearer for a fighter who has spent years chasing the one prize that has eluded him. Two title shots against Eersel, two defeats — but the hunger for a third attempt burns as fiercely as ever.

"This fight is crucial for my future. It determines if I keep moving forward or get back to that title shot. It's a make-or-break moment. I guarantee I'll give it everything. My ultimate dream is a rematch with Regian Eersel to finally take that World Title," he said.
