ONE Fight Night 4: Abbasov vs. Lee goes down on Saturday, 19 November, at the Singapore Indoor Stadium and features an array of martial arts bouts.
From potential championship ramifications to breakthrough bouts, ONE Fight Night 4 is jam-packed with action.
Having said that, here are three fights you should pay close attention to on that day.
First up in the evening’s main event, promotional star Christian Lee returns to the Circle after regaining his ONE Lightweight World Championship from OK Rae Yoon in triumphant fashion.
With his swagger back and Kiamrian Abbasov’s ONE Welterweight World Title up for grabs, Lee wants to capture his second belt.
Abbasov will be no easy feat, though, as he’s gone undefeated in ONE’s welterweight division. The move up into the Russian’s territory will provide a big test for Singapore’s favorite son, and should he be successful, Lee will cement himself in the promotion’s history books.
Fernandes Vs. Loman
As the former ONE Bantamweight World Champion, Bibiano Fernandes finds himself at a crossroads in his fighting career. After losing his title to brawling Brazilian John Lineker this past March, the 42-year-old returns to action in his first non-title bout in almost ten years.
Fernandes puts his #3-ranked position on the line against #5-ranked Filipino bantamweight Stephen Loman. However, this bout again Loman is no warm-up.
Loman’s 16-2 record packs a boastful 10-fight winning streak. Admittedly, it is a must-win scenario for the ONE veteran. A defeat may see him slip from the rankings, but history suggests nobody responds to defeat quite like Fernandes.
In another cross-division bout, Rodtang Jitmuangnon faces ONE’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Champion Joseph Lasiri, as the Italian-Moroccan will attempt to pry the Thai’s ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Championship away from him.
Legendary Rodtang has yet to be beaten in ONE Muay Thai action, but Lasiri is coming off a destructive win over former strawweight king Prajanchai PK.Saenchai.
This bout sees two explosive fighters with very contrasting approaches collide for all the marbles, and this all-striking affair is already being marked as a potential fight of the night.
