Phetjeeja Predicts Fireworks In High-Stakes Muay Thai Comeback

Undisputed ONE Atomweight Kickboxing World Champion Phetjeeja makes her highly anticipated return to Muay Thai after a two-year absence when she faces Martyna Dominczak at ONE Fight Night 38 on 6 December in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 23-year-old Thai superstar recognizes the pressure and expectations surrounding her comeback to the discipline where her martial arts journey began at 7 years old.

"This fight is extremely important because it's my first Muay Thai fight in two years. Many fans are probably waiting to see my performance. I will try my best to defeat Martyna in the best possible form," Phetjeeja said.

The Team Mehdi Zatout product has dominated since joining ONE Championship, maintaining an unblemished 7-0 promotional record split between four Muay Thai victories and three kickboxing wins. Her incredible 209 career victories demonstrate the experience she brings despite her young age.

Phetjeeja's last Muay Thai appearance ended in a TKO victory in 2023, and she's eager to recapture that finishing form while pursuing her ultimate goal.

"My dream is to win the ONE Women's Atomweight Muay Thai World Championship and become a two-sport ONE World Champion. I believe that if I put on a good performance in this fight and get an impressive win, I might get the chance to challenge Allycia Hellen Rodrigues in my very next fight," the champion declared.

Her recent kickboxing performances validate her status as an elite striker. Phetjeeja has defeated legendary opponents including Anissa Meksen, Janet Todd, and Kana Morimoto in her last three kickboxing bouts, cementing her reputation as one of the division's most dangerous competitors.

The Thai anticipates an action-packed battle with her Polish challenger, given what's at stake for both fighters.

"The chance of a finish is very high, because she also wants an impressive win to challenge Allycia, just like me. I think if either of us makes a mistake, it could be a knockout," Phetjeeja predicted.
