ONE Championship Partners with Upcoming MMA Film

ONE Championship (ONE) has announced a new partnership with The Beast In Me, a feature-length MMA action-drama film from Broken Open Pictures. The film is scheduled to begin filming later this year.

Film Details

The movie stars Academy Award-winning actor Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind) and Daniel MacPherson (Land of Bad, Foundation). Crowe, who also co-wrote the script, will be joined by select ONE talent, including ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong, who will make appearances in the film.

ONE Championship Involvement

A key scene for the film will be shot on January 24, 2025, during a ONE Friday Fights live event at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand. Additional footage will be captured throughout fight week.

Plot and Production

In The Beast In Me, MacPherson plays an out-of-work former MMA fighter who faces a personal tragedy involving his brother. With guidance from a veteran trainer, played by Crowe, he returns to competition in ONE Championship to avenge his brother.

Tyler Atkins will direct the film, with Frigerio, Tim O’Hair, and John Schwarz producing. Shane Abbess and Brett Thornquest will serve as executive producers.
