Nishant Dev Set for U.S. Return on Hitchins-Kambosos Undercard at Madison Square Garden

Rising Indian boxing talent Nishant Dev is set to make his return to the ring on June 14 at The Theater at Madison Square Garden, New York. The six-round super welterweight bout against Josue Silva of California will mark Dev’s second professional fight.

The matchup will be part of the undercard of the IBF super lightweight title bout between Richardson Hitchins and George Kambosos Jr., promoted by Matchroom Boxing.

Dev (1-0, 1 KO), a former amateur standout from India, made a successful professional debut earlier this year, stopping his opponent in the first round. He now looks to build momentum in the U.S. boxing scene.

Silva (3-2, 1 KO), originally from Mexico, represents a step up in experience for the 23-year-old Dev, who is aiming to put Indian boxing firmly on the global map.

The stacked undercard also features Olympic gold medalist Andy Cruz (5-0, 2 KOs) taking on Japan’s Hironori Mishiro (17-1-1, 6 KOs) in a 12-round IBF lightweight title eliminator, as well as heavyweight action between Alexis Barriere and Roney Hines for the WBC Continental Americas title.

The June 14 card will be streamed live on DAZN.
