Nakrob Fairtex is preparing for one of his toughest tests yet as he faces surging contender Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi at ONE Fight Night 32 on 7 June. The flyweight Muay Thai showdown takes place at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium and promises fireworks when it airs in U.S. primetime on Prime Video.
Currently ranked fifth in ONE Championship's stacked flyweight Muay Thai division, Nakrob earned his spot through a dominant run in ONE Friday Fights before securing a six-figure contract. His most recent highlight-reel knockout of Puengluang Baanramba showcased exactly why he's considered one of the division's most dangerous finishers.
Standing across from him will be Jaosuayai, a devastating knockout artist riding a four-fight winning streak.
Nakrob acknowledges the challenge ahead, offering high praise for his Thai compatriot.
"Jaosuayai is a really good fighter. He's got sharp weapons and quick footwork. He's improved a lot since his debut fight. His strength is his sharp and fast punches, for sure. As for his weaknesses, I gotta admit, I can barely see any. I have to say, he's very skilled," Nakrob said.
Whilst respecting Jaosuayai's speed advantage, Nakrob believes his power will be the deciding factor. With five spectacular finishes in his ONE career, he's established himself as one of the division's biggest hitters.
"I've prepared big shots for every round, like always. My secret weapon would probably be the power behind my strikes. I'm confident I can land heavier shots. But when it comes to speed, I gotta give it to Jaosuayai," the Thai athlete said.
The veteran of over 90 professional bouts expects an explosive encounter.
"I can tell you right now, this fight's gonna be intense. There's a good chance it won't go the distance. But I can't predict exactly when it's gonna finish. You'll have to wait and see in the ring," Nakrob said.
With the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Title vacant, both fighters know a victory could propel them towards championship contention.
ONE Fight Night 32 will be broadcast live on JioHotstar and Star Sports Select 2 at 6:30 a.m. India Standard Time (IST) on Saturday, 7 June.
