Muhammad Mokaev Seeks to Complete His BRAVE CF Journey with Flyweight Gold

Muhammad “The Punisher” Mokaev is ready to close a long-awaited chapter in his storied journey when he competes for the inaugural BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship against Ireland’s Gerard “The Animal” Burns on Friday, November 7, at Khalifa Sports City, Bahrain.

For Mokaev, this isn’t just another title fight — it’s a homecoming. The Dagestani-born Englishman, once a rising amateur star, began his professional career with BRAVE Combat Federation, the organization that first showcased his immense potential to the world.

“BRAVE CF gave me the platform to show the world who I am,” Mokaev said. “They opened the doors when I was just a kid with big dreams, and for that, I’ll always be thankful.”

Between 2019 and 2021, Mokaev amassed four wins in five appearances, including two submission victories, cementing his status as one of the sport’s brightest flyweight prospects. His success led him to international promotions, where he continued his unbeaten streak, proving his elite caliber on the global stage.

Now, after years of evolution, Mokaev returns to BRAVE CF — not as a prospect, but as a world-class contender on the brink of making history.

“BRAVE CF is home and will always be home,” he declared. “This is where I started my professional journey, and this is where I want to make history.”

Victory at BRAVE 100 would make Mokaev the first-ever Flyweight World Champion in BRAVE CF history — a moment that would complete his full-circle journey from prodigy to champion.

“This is destiny,” Mokaev added. “From my first fight in BRAVE CF to this World Title opportunity — everything has led to this. I’m ready to bring the belt home.”

Facing him is the dangerous and confident Gerard Burns, who vows to end Dagestan’s dominance in global MMA. But Mokaev remains undeterred.

“Gerard Burns is tough,” he admitted. “But I’m doing this for everyone who believed in me — and for those who stood by me when times were hard.”
