Matrix Fight Night (MFN) has parted ways with Alan Fenandes, the All India Mixed Martial Arts Association (AIMMAA) and the Global Authority of Mixed Martial Arts Federation (GAMMAF).
The announcement was made by MFN Supremo Ayesha Shroff on social media last day. You can see the statement from Ayesha Shroff below.
To: The MMA Community,
This notice is to inform you all that we have officially disassociated ourselves and parted ways with Alan Fenandes, AIMMAA and GAMMAF as of today onwards.
Going forward, all communication regarding Matrix Fight Night, including future fight cards and matchups, as well as selection of officials, will be discussed and confirmed by myself and Krishna ONLY. Consider all information from sources other than the two of us simply untrue.
We carry on towards our upward trajectory and will see you all again at MFN 12 very soon!
Best Regards,
Ayesha Shroff
The announcement was met with mixed reactions with a long list of notable Indian MMA fighters commenting on the same.
Road to UFC winner and UFC fighter Anshul Jubli tagged it as a ‘Real G Decision’ when Road to UFC 2 fighter Rana Rudra Pratap Singh also supported the decision from Ayesha Shroff.
Fighters like Punyajit Likharu, Dushan Burle, Abhijeet Petkar, and Anthony Syiem among others also commented on the post in support of the decision.
MFN had been associated with AIMMAA and GAMMAF since the inception of the promotion back in March 2019. Since then, the promotion has hosted 11 events so far both in India and outside India.
The latest event MFN 11 from the promotion happened in Delhi back on March 31, 2023, and was headlined by the Welterweight Title fight between Seth Rosario and Darkhanbek Ergeshev.
AIMMAA and GAMMAF are yet to put out an official statement regarding the situation.
