Alfie Davis, Liz Carmouche and Marcirley Alves Capture Titles at 2025 PFL World

The 2025 PFL World Tournament Finals crowned new champions Friday night at Bojangles Coliseum, with Alfie Davis, Liz Carmouche and Marcirley Alves claiming titles in the Lightweight, Women’s Flyweight and Bantamweight divisions.

In the main event, England’s Alfie Davis (20-5-1) edged 2024 champion Gadzhi Rabadanov (26-5-2) in a razor-close five-round battle to win the PFL Lightweight World Tournament Championship. Mixing unorthodox striking with solid defense, Davis earned a unanimous decision victory with all three judges scoring the bout 48-47.

Former Bellator champion Liz Carmouche (25-8) secured the PFL Women’s Flyweight World Tournament title with a third-round stoppage of Jena Bishop (9-3). After surviving a deep submission attempt in Round 2, Carmouche landed a powerful left hook and followed with hammerfists to seal the finish at 2:56.

Brazil’s Marcirley Alves (15-4) captured the PFL Bantamweight World Tournament crown by defeating Justin Wetzell (12-3) via unanimous decision. Despite Wetzell’s relentless takedown attempts and late rally with a brutal knee in the fifth round, Alves controlled much of the fight and took the judges’ nod.

The main card opened with Robert Watley (16-3) making a successful PFL return by stopping Mads Burnell (20-8) in the third round via strikes.

The tournament continues Thursday, Aug. 21, at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, with finals in the Middleweight, Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight divisions. The card airs live on ESPN, ESPN+ and DAZN.
