Boxing legend Manny Pacquiao will make his long-awaited return to the ring when he faces Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight championship at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The bout headlines a four-fight card on Saturday, Sept. 14, airing on PBC on Prime Video PPV and PPV.com.
The Pacquiao vs. Barrios main card begins at 8 p.m. ET, with ring walks for the main event expected around 11 p.m. ET. The preliminary card, featuring three undercard bouts, begins at 5:30 p.m. ET, streaming free for Amazon Prime members.
Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs), a former eight-division world champion, returns to action for the first time since August 2021, marking just his second fight in more than six years. The 45-year-old Filipino icon is looking to add another world title to his legendary résumé by capturing the WBC welterweight belt.
Barrios (28-2-1, 18 KOs), who suffered back-to-back defeats to Gervonta Davis and Keith Thurman, rebounded by claiming the interim WBC title before being elevated to full champion status. He most recently fought to a split draw against Abel Ramos on the undercard of Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson in November.
