Happy birthday to me: Lika Jojua celebrates her birthday at the Burj Khalifa

Liana Jojua, the Georgian mixed martial artist, marked her birthday in grand fashion at one of the world's most iconic landmarks, the Burj Khalifa. Known for her prowess in the octagon, Jojua took a break from the rigors of training to indulge in a luxurious birthday celebration amidst the stunning backdrop of Dubai's skyline.

Born on March 22, 1995, Jojua has carved a name for herself in the world of MMA, competing across flyweight and bantamweight divisions with remarkable success. Her journey into the sport was ignited by watching the legendary Gina Carano's fights at just 16 years old. With a background in Muay Thai, Jojua made her MMA debut in September 2015, setting the stage for a remarkable career ahead.

Throughout her career, Jojua has encountered both triumphs and setbacks, showcasing the resilience and determination that defines her character. After experiencing a two-fight skid in 2016, Jojua bounced back with a remarkable five-fight win streak, culminating in her crowning as the inaugural Fight Nights Global Women's Bantamweight Champion after defeating Marina Mokhnatkina.

Her journey led her to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where she faced formidable opponents on the world stage. Notably, Jojua secured a memorable victory against Diana Belbiţă at UFC on ESPN: Kattar vs. Ige on July 16, 2020, with a stunning armbar submission in the first round.

However, the path of a fighter is not without its challenges, and Jojua faced a setback in her bout against Miranda Maverick at UFC 254 on October 24, 2020, where she suffered a technical knockout in the first round.
