Lapilus vs Hugo Set as BRAVE CF 94 Co-Main Event

BRAVE Combat Federation’s historic debut in Switzerland will feature a high-stakes co-main event as France’s Damien Lapilus takes on Brazil’s Victor Hugo in a featherweight clash at BRAVE CF 94 on May 17, 2025, at Geneva’s Arena de Genève. The event, held in partnership with Warriors Night Championship (WNC), marks the 17th European nation to host a BRAVE CF event and further extends the promotion’s unmatched global reach.

Damien Lapilus (18-17-2), known as “The Walking Dead,” is one of Europe’s most seasoned MMA veterans. A former BAMMA featherweight champion, Lapilus has faced top talent across multiple promotions and countries. Fighting out of the prestigious MMA Factory in Paris, he brings a dangerous combination of jiu-jitsu savvy and evolving striking skills. Now at age 34, Lapilus views this bout as a critical opportunity to reaffirm his place among the elite in the BRAVE CF featherweight division.

Victor Hugo (25-5-0), a decorated Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and four-time IBJJF world champion under the Ribeiro brothers, steps into BRAVE CF for the first time. Known for his slick submissions and growing knockout power, Hugo boasts ten submission victories and seven knockouts in his MMA career. His entry into the BRAVE CF featherweight ranks comes with high expectations as he looks to make an immediate impact.

This co-main event is a classic striker-versus-grappler matchup. Lapilus will aim to use his experience and stand-up skills to control the tempo, while Hugo will look to bring the fight to the mat, where his world-class submission arsenal can take over. The outcome could play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the featherweight division.

BRAVE CF 94 will feature athletes from 14 nations, highlighting the promotion’s continued mission to provide a global platform for elite fighters. As a flagship event in the “Year of the BRAVE” campaign, BRAVE CF 94 continues to push the boundaries of international MMA, bringing high-level competition to new audiences across Europe and beyond.
