Prediction from Khabib goes terribly wrong as Argentina beats Croatia

The love that Khabib Nurmagomedov has for Football is no secret. The former UFC Champion has been vocal about his love for the game and had recently given his prediction for the semi-final battle between Argentina and Croatia.

Messi converted a penalty and assisted on Julián Alvarez's other two goals as Argentina defeated Croatia 3-0 on December 13 to set up a title showdown against either France or Morocco on Sunday.

While the victory of Argentina is something that the fans are celebrating, some other people have found time to remind Khabib how his prediction went terribly wrong.

In a recent Instagram Story, Khabib Nurmagomedov expressed his support for Luka Modric. The UFC icon is a huge Real Madrid fan and has publicly stated his love for the team. He also admires Cristiano Ronaldo, and the worldwide soccer great admires Khabib in return.

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently shared a video from a match between Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid on his Instagram story.

Lionel Messi and Luka Modric appear in the video. Messi is depicted carrying the ball and attempting to dribble while Luka Modric pursues him. Modric trips Messi over a tackle near the end of the brief film in an attempt to win the ball for his team. Later, Modric is shown stealing the ball from the multiple-time Ballon d'Or winner.

Khabib also wrote ‘Tonight’ in the story indicating that he was predicting Modric dominating Messi in the field during Argentina vs. Croatia match.

The prediction from Khabib, however, did not happen as Argentina comfortably cruised into the semi-finals with a 3-0 win.
