Kerala Boxing Council Ushers in New Era with Newly Elected Leadership

A new chapter has begun for professional boxing in the state as the Kerala Boxing Council proudly announces its newly elected leadership team. Dr. Khias Chemnad has taken charge as President, with Wajid Sait appointed as Secretary. Supporting them are Rakesh Vidhyadharan as Joint Secretary and Anshad Thaha as Treasurer. Together, they are joined by executive members Rajan PK, Darshan Rodrigues, Raju E, and Muneer Babu.

Since its formation in September 2023, the Kerala Boxing Council has seen remarkable growth. In less than a year, it has organized eight professional boxing events in Kerala, licensed over 200 boxers, certified more than 100 coaches, and established affiliated units across seven districts. These achievements reflect the Council’s commitment to building a strong ecosystem for professional boxing in Kerala.

The Kerala Boxing Council is officially affiliated with the Indian Boxing Council, the national governing body for professional boxing in India. With a passionate leadership team and a growing base of athletes and coaches, the future of pro boxing in Kerala is set to reach new heights.
