Katie Taylor Defeats Amanda Serrano by Majority Decision in Trilogy Bout

Katie Taylor retained her undisputed super lightweight championship on Saturday night, defeating Amanda Serrano by majority decision in their highly anticipated third encounter at Madison Square Garden.

The bout, which went the full 10 rounds, marked the third time Taylor and Serrano shared the ring. As with their previous matchups, Taylor once again emerged victorious, this time with two judges scoring the fight 97-93 in her favor and one ruling it a draw.

The atmosphere at Madison Square Garden was electric as fans anticipated another all-action contest following the duo’s intense first two meetings. However, the third installment was more tactical than expected, with both fighters opting to work at range rather than engaging in a relentless exchange of punches.

Serrano, known for her aggressive forward pressure, adopted a more measured approach this time, trading from a distance and occasionally pushing forward. Taylor capitalized on the space, landing cleaner and more effective shots throughout the contest.

Despite the change in pace, the fight remained competitive, with both champions having their moments. But it was Taylor’s precision and control that ultimately secured her third win over Serrano and allowed her to remain atop the super lightweight division.
