The event is scheduled to take place on January 28 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan.

This rematch comes after the two grappling phenoms first clashed at ONE Fight Night 11 in June, a contest that delivered one of the most thrilling submission grappling matchups of 2023. Langaker, with his tricky guard and a daring heel hook attempt, posed an early threat. However, Ruotolo showcased his defensive skills with leg lock attempts and a relentless passing game, ultimately securing a unanimous decision victory.

Since that encounter, Ruotolo has been on a hiatus, focusing on establishing his new gym in Costa Rica and preparing for his impending mixed martial arts debut. Despite being less active on the competition mats, he remains sharp, training alongside his twin brother, Tye Ruotolo, the reigning ONE Welterweight Submission Grappling World Champion.

While Kade Ruotolo has been out of action, Langaker has been enjoying the best form of his career. The 29-year-old Norwegian boasts a remarkable 14-1 record since his loss to Ruotolo, including an impressive streak of 11 consecutive wins that led him to IBJJF No Gi European and World Titles.

As they prepare for their second encounter, Langaker, familiar with Ruotolo's game after their first meeting, is riding a wave of momentum. The upcoming match promises to be another thrilling clash between two of the sport’s current pound-for-pound best.
